Julie Anfinson, DDS, MS

Dr. Julie Anfinson, originally from Iowa where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from William Penn University in 1980 and her Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Iowa in 1984. Seeking further clinical knowledge, she completed an advanced degree at Oklahoma Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Anfinson pursued a specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry that was inspired by her rewarding experience working with children of all ages and abilities at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. She graduated with a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, in 1987. Upon graduation, she moved to Arizona to enjoy 360 sunny days a year.

Dr. Anfinson has been the owner and operator of a group practice in Scottsdale, Arizona for the past 38 years. She is dedicated to helping children have a better dental experience and actually enjoy going to the dentist. Dr. Anfinson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has served on the Council of Clinical Affairs, a council that writes the standard of care for pediatric dentists worldwide. Additionally, she was an oral sedation examiner for the Arizona dental board for years and is currently on the ethics and mediation committee. Dr. Anfinson was voted Top Dentist from 2004-2015 and 2017-2020. She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Arizona Dental Association, and Central Arizona Dental Association.

In her free time, Dr. Anfinson enjoys all water sports, outdoor activities, travel, and spending time with her family.
