Jarell Wilson, DDS

Ja’Rell Wilson; pediatric dentist, husband, father of three, lifelong learner, and advocate for healthy smiles & healthier kids.

I’m originally from Staten Island, New York, but my journey has taken me across the country, shaping the way I practice and the way I connect with families. I earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Fisk University, then continued my studies in Biological Sciences at Tennessee State University before attending Meharry Medical College in Nashville, where I began my training in dentistry.

After dental school, I completed a hospital based, two-year General Practice Residency, at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) in Buffalo, NY. There, I focused on caring for medically complex patients and collaborated closely with departments throughout the hospital including: internal medicine, nephrology, oral oncology, maxillofacial prosthodontics, and dentistry for patients with special health care needs. This experience helped shape my treatment philosophy: that dentistry works best when it’s holistic, team-based, and focused on the whole person; not just the teeth.

Eventually, my commitment to serving vulnerable communities led me to northern Arizona, where I worked in a health center on the Navajo Nation. Caring for children in that setting I discovered my calling in pediatric dentistry. That led me to pursue specialty training through NYU Langone’s Pediatric Dental Residency, where I trained in a variety of environments from hospitals to private practices to public health clinics.

Today, I’m proud to bring that experience to every patient I see. My goal is to create a fun, educational, and encouraging space where children feel safe and parents feel supported. Whether it’s a first dental visit or ongoing care for a child with special health needs, I’m here to build lifelong relationships based on trust, empathy, and high-quality care.

In addition to practicing dentistry, I’m passionate about mentoring and advocating for health equity. I believe every child, regardless of background or circumstances, deserves the chance to grow up with a healthy & confident smile.

Outside of work, I live in Phoenix with my amazing wife, Jazmine and our three children. I love coaching and playing basketball with my kids, exploring new restaurants with friends and family, and spending time in the kitchen cooking meals that bring everyone together.
