Phlebotomy Services During Sedation
Does your child need blood work? If your child is already scheduled for dental treatment under sedation or general anesthesia, we can perform their blood draw while they’re comfortably sedated, so they never have to feel a thing.
We know that for many children, getting blood drawn can be one of the most stressful medical experiences they face. The anxiety, the tears, the holding still; it’s hard on kids and hard on parents. That’s why we offer phlebotomy services during your child’s sedation appointment, eliminating the need for a separate and potentially traumatic trip to the lab.
How It Works
If your child’s pediatrician or specialist has ordered blood work, let us know when you schedule your child’s sedation appointment. While your child is safely sedated for their dental treatment, Cedric Harris, an incredible phlebotomist, will perform the blood draw. The samples are then sent to the appropriate lab per your physician’s orders. Your child wakes up with their dental work complete and their blood work done — without ever knowing it happened.
